Snow plowing FAQ

Does DrivewayBlankets.com plow driveways?

No. We're a free request service, not a plowing company. We don't own plows or employ crews. We pass your request to a snow removal provider or lead network serving your ZIP.

Is the calculator price a quote?

No. It's an estimate based on published third-party price ranges (Angi, HomeGuide). The provider who follows up sets the actual price.

Is it free?

Yes, it's free for homeowners. Providers or lead networks may pay us when we pass along a request.

Do I need to give a phone number?

No. Email is enough. A mobile number is optional and used for text messages only.

How much does snow plowing cost?

Angi lists $40–$100 per visit and $300–$700 per season nationally; HomeGuide lists $30–$70 per visit. See the cost guide.

Per push or seasonal: which is cheaper?

It depends on how many times it snows. Divide the seasonal price by the per-push price to get the break-even number of pushes, then compare with your city's normal snowfall. Our calculator does this.

Who will contact me?

A snow removal provider or network that serves your area, by email, or by text if you gave a mobile number. Reply STOP to opt out of texts.

Do you show reviews or ratings?

No. We don't publish reviews, ratings or testimonials because we don't perform the work. Check a provider's reviews before you hire them.

Where does the snowfall data come from?

Last winter's totals and normals come from NOAA's Applied Climate Information System (the data behind NWS NOWData). This winter's outlook comes from NOAA's Climate Prediction Center, which gives probabilities, not inch forecasts.

Who has to clear the sidewalk in front of my house?

In every city we cover where we could verify the rule, the property owner or occupant does, usually within a set deadline. See your city page for the official rule and link.
